Male infertility is caused by two main factors: sexual dysfunction and sperm quality issues.
- Sexual dysfunction
The first type of male infertility occurs when partners are unable to consummate. Sperm could not be transferred to the female partner for three reasons:
- Problems with erectile function
- Too soon ejaculation
- Inadequate libido
2. Sperm quality
The second cause of male infertility is poor sperm quality. In this case, sexual penetration occurs, but the quality of the sperm is inadequate.
We primarily consider three parameters when assessing sperm quality.
- The Sperm Count is a measurement of the number of sperm in sperm.
- Sperm Morphology refers to the shape and size of sperm, which includes the head, mid-piece, and tail.
- Sperm Mortality is the rate at which sperm moves.
For Fertility In Males (Semen Analysis)
- Sperm count ≥ 15 million/ml
- Sperm morphology ≥ 4% of sperm must be normal
- Sperm Mortality ≥ 32 %
